In this project, experimental investigations will be conducted on the properties of recycled concrete under load and some representative coupled environments to understand the degradation.
Project Objectives:
Understand the deterioration of recycled concrete under combined load and severe environmental actions;
Effects of recycled aggregate replacement ratio, recycled aggregate treatments, supplementary cementitious materials, loading rate, and various extreme actions on durability will be studied;
Microcharacterizations, X-ray CT and nanocharacterization will be applied to explore the deterioration mechanism of recycled concrete.
