Deterioration of recycled concrete under coupled loading and aggressive environmental actions

In this project, experimental investigations will be conducted on the properties of recycled concrete under load and some representative coupled environments to understand the degradation.

 
Project Objectives: 
  1. Understand the deterioration of recycled concrete under combined load and severe environmental actions; 
  2. Effects of recycled aggregate replacement ratio, recycled aggregate treatments, supplementary cementitious materials, loading rate, and various extreme actions on durability will be studied; 
  3. Microcharacterizations, X-ray CT and nanocharacterization will be applied to explore the deterioration mechanism of recycled concrete.
