Recycled polypropylene packaging composites

The project will develop a polypropylene composite from co mingled scrap plastics from paint containers.

To develop a catalogue of r-PP with technical specification, datasheet based on the level of contaminants
To develop a recycling process which is an environmentally safe route
To tailor the formulations with recycled PP, virgin PP and fiber by melt mixing to create homogeneous batch
To evaluate the processability, rheology, structure, morphology and performance relationship targeted for specific applications
To identify long term performance of the composites and any leaching issue
