RMIT University, The University of Melbourne and the Municipal Association of Victoria invite you to a workshop on waste management and recycling.
Treatment, materials, products and the use of recycled materials in infrastructure
The workshop will include an overview of the existing and potential solutions, provide an opportunity to hear from the recycling industry and researchers and will offer a fantastic networking opportunity to learn from other council colleagues.
The workshop aims to pave the way for you to actively participate towards the development of a research program being compiled by the two Universities for submission for funding from the Australian Research Council and other sources to address the major needs of local councils.
The research program will be developed in collaboration with the local councils, recycling industry, materials and product manufacturers and the state government. The support needed from the local councils in the form of access to information, identification of waste streams, sites for field trials of recycled products, trials of novel technologies and a cash contribution towards research program development will also be discussed.
